Mr. Alvin Leon Woodward Sr., 82 of Kennedy, Alabama died on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Pickens County Medical Center in Carrollton, Alabama.

Born Friday, March 20, 1936 in Sterling, Virginia to the late Mr. George Washington Woodward and Mrs. Nellie Woodward. Mr. Woodward moved to Alabama in 1996, in the Kennedy and Millport area where he has lived for over 20 years. Mr. Woodward is preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are sons, George Woodward of Millport, AL, Ricky Woodward and Alvin Leon Woodward Jr., daughters, Felecia Frost, Pamela Adams and Sandra Schaeffer; 12 grand children; 9 great grand children.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel,

Burial will be in the Kennedy City Cemetery.

Officiating will be Bro. Ed Nabors

Pallbearers will be Alvin Woodward Jr., Christopher Woodward Sr., Christopher Woodward Jr., Ricky Woodward, Raymond Adams, Caleb Frost.
