Annie E. Ponds, 91, of Ethelsville, Alabama died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Arbor Woods Health and Rehab in Reform, Alabama.
Born Tuesday, July 14, 1925 to the late Early James and Lucille Whorton James. She was married to Woodrow Ponds.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Early and Lucille James, her husband Woodrow Ponds, sister, Pearl Moore McDaniel, brother, Troy James, and daughter, Betty Ann Ponds.
She is survived by her sons, James Ponds (Rachel) and Frank Ponds (Cacielie), daughter, Brenda Byers (Waymon) of Ethelsville, AL, sister, Helen Danner; 8 grand children; 9 great grand children.

Pallbearers will be Luke Cassity, Steve Moore, Ryan Tenneyson, Niel James, Quintez Ponds, and Ricky Ponds.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM at Ethelsville Baptist Church on Friday, March 24th, 2017. Her body will lie-in-state from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM before the service. Interment will be in Etherlsville Baptist Church
