Mrs.  Betty Jean Harris,  81 of  Coker, Al, formerly of Kennedy, AL died  Friday, November  30,2018  at  Hospice  of  West  Alabama  in Tuscaloosa,  Al.

Funeral Services will  held Sunday  Dec.  2,  2018 at 3:00 pm from Dowdle Funeral Home  Chapel  with burial in Higdon Cemetery,  Kennedy,  Al.
with Rev. L.D. Armstrong and Rev. Jeff Long officating.

Visitation will  be from 2:00 PM until  3:00 PM  Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harris was born August 22, 1937 in Millport, AL to the late William & Willie May Cobb Higdon. Betty was a loving caring strong willed woman, loved by everyone. Everyone described her as a sweet precious lady. She will be missed but so glad she has her heavenly reward and is happy and pain free. She liked to walk so much even a fractured pelvis could stop her. She is probably walking allover heaven now and enjoying being pain free. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ray Harris, sisters,  Arleeta Higdon, Frances Long and a great grandchild.

Survivors are, Daughter, Anita Feltman and Brother Roland Higdon. 2 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, Steve Higdon, David Long, Hoyt Fondren, David Cunningham, Rev. Terry Robinson, Rev. Thomas Clay, Shauncy Carter.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Scott Fulgham and Dr. Donald Scott.
