Betty Ann Ward, 74, formally of Millport, Alabama passed away on December 11, 2020 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Northport, Alabama. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Millport, AL with Bro. Kenneth Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Betty was born on January 21, 1946 in Millport, Alabama to J.O. and Nancy Kemp. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Ebenezer Methodist Church. She loved her family and her church family; they were her inspiration for life. She was an overcomer and ALWAYS saw the glass as half full. With her unconditional love, she always saw the good in everyone. She had a very humble and selfless love for others and although she experienced a lot of challenges throughout her life, she never failed to have a positive, faithful attitude that gave her blessings in life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Ward and brother John Kemp. She is survived by sons Tim and Mark Ward, sisters Nancy Jo McGee, Kathy Butts and Denise Kemp, a sister-in-law Ann Carroll, two brothers, Pete Kemp and Mike Kemp and 3 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Butts, Jake Fowler, Joseph Fowler, Josh Kemp, Landon McGee and John Eric Kemp. Honorary Pallbearers are Mitch McGee, Jeff Carroll and Kenny Carroll.
