Brenda Gail Jones Cochran, 80, passed away on November 6, 2024 at Fayette Medical Center. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. with Bro. Danny Butler officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Millport, AL. under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Brenda was born on July 8, 1944 to Leroy and Effie Jones, one of ten children. After graduation from Kennedy High School, she enrolled at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated with a degree in business. After graduation she went to work for the FBI in Washington, D.C. and for the next 38 years, traveled the world. She lived in Jackson, MS., Hong Kong, Germany, Miami, FL and finishing her career in Birmingham, Alabama.

Brenda loved her dogs and was an Alabama football fan. She had many interests and like to stay busy. She enjoyed books, gardening, cooking and adult coloring books. She loved her nieces and nephews and spending time with family was important to her. Even after becoming disabled, Brenda was always cheerful and had a good attitude about life. She was a member of Kingville Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Barbara Ann McAdams and Patsy Elaine Jones, brothers LeFloy Jones and Billy Gerald Jones.

She is survived by sisters Carolyn Brown (Joe), Cecelia Roney (Mike), Mary Janice Losinger (Dierk), Gloria Jane Lemley and a brother, Ricky Jones (Sharron).

Pallbearers will be Nolan Gottwald, Randy Guyton, Steve Jones, Alan Jones, Steve Wright, and David Wilson.
