Candy was born March 24, 1958 in Fayette, AL to the late Lloyd Greenwood and Tommye Lee Smith Cobb. Candy was a graduate of Caldwell High School in Columbus, MS class of 1976. She also graduated from the Mississippi University for Women "The W" with a bachelors degree. Candy was a member of Kennedy Baptist Church like her parents before her. As Sunday school teacher for about 40 years, some of Candy's achievements in her life was teaching young children the Bible and of Jesus Christ. She was a people person who enjoyed conversations and telling stories of her families past and reveling in the dry humor of her father. She worked in retail and bookkeeping. Candy had a huge heart for not just people and children but pets as well. She couldn't pass an antique store, thrift shop, or garage sale without stopping, determined to find a bargain. She was a life long Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. Most important of all was the love for her family!
Candy was married to the love her life on August 17, 1991, David Lyn Daniel. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Survivors are: Husband; David Lyn Daniel, Son; Cody Lloyd Daniel, and Sister; Barbie (Keith) Hill. Other survivors include a host of nieces and nephews along with a multitude of cousins spread across the country.
Pallbearers will be Brian Holsonback, Darryl Dollar, Jarod Beasley, Cory Jones, Bruce Swanson, and Fred Ray Savage. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of Kennedy Baptist Church.
