Charles Dale Taylor
Winfield, AL – Dale Taylor, age 48, of Winfield (formerly of Millport) passed away May 31, 2014 at his residence.
A memorial service was held June 3 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Columbus, MS with Dr. Bill Hurt officiating and Dowdle Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Taylor was born in Lamar County on November 4, 2014 to Charles Marvin and Sandra Blair Taylor. He was a 1984 graduate of Lamar County High School in Vernon. He worked as an oil field supervisor/truck pusher. He was a loving husband and father and was looking forward to meeting his soon to be born granddaughter, LynnLee Ella Lindsey.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Marie Taylor; grandparents, Wilbur and Nola May Blair, Marvin and Nina Taylor, Bill (BeBe) Cook and Maudine Burrage; uncles, Sunny Barrett, Warren Cargile and Jerry Burrage.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Teresa Cook Taylor; 2 daughters, Sieara Charae Taylor Lindsey (Jamie) and Isabella Grace Taylor; one son, Zackary Dale Taylor; sister, Sheri Taylor Cobb (Derrick) and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ricky and Marilyn Cook.
Honorary pallbearers were Stoney Pair, Kyle Shaw, Glenn McCollough, Mike Tinker, Herbert Junkins, Kenneth Sisson, Tommy Massey, Dale Brewer, Mel Brewer, Derrick Cobb, NW Ala Hospice Employees, Lewis Manderson Cancer Center physicians and staff and DCH 6th North nurses and staff.
