Charles Preston White Sr. (Chuck), 59, of Vernon, Alabama , passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home with Bro. James Godsey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery in Vernon, Alabama under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Chuck was born on December 24, 1966 to Larry and Marie White. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and hunting arrowheads. He loved his grandkids and spending time with them. Each one of them held a special place in his heart. Each time he heard his name "pawpaw" he would melt. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Marie White; and brothers, Steve Smith, Kenny White, and Dale Smith.

He is survived by his significant other,  Charlon Harrison; daughters, Wendy White and Gracie Avery (Davin); sons, Charles Preston White (Alex), Steven White (Makayla), and Chaseton Harrison (Kiersten) ; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-child.

Pallbearers will be Bryant Hollis, Scott Westbrook, Eric Smith, Jeremy White, Cory Whitford, and Matt Spann.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elmer Leonard and Caleb Madison.
