Charlie Strawbridge, 77, of Millport, AL, passed away on May 9, 2024, at Fayette Medical Center in Fayette, AL. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Millport, AL, with Rev. Kevin Dixon officiating. There will be a visitation two hours prior to services starting at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Millport, AL.

Charlie was born on January 7, 1947, to Bob and Lillie Mae Strawbridge. He was born and raised in Millport, Alabama. He was employed by Johnson-Tombigbee Furniture for 54 years. He was a dedicated family man and loved his church community. He served as a deacon at Holly Grove Baptist Church. He got everybody in Millport a job at Johnson-Tombigbee who wanted one. He was well-liked and he never met a stranger.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Barbara Strawbridge; sons, Charlie Earl Strawbridge and Christopher (Natasha) Strawbridge; sisters, Mary Gardner, Sherry Gardner, Wanda Gardner; and brothers, Douglas Cox, Belton Horton, Ricky Gardner, and Danny Gardner.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob Strawbridge and Lillie Mae Strawbridge; daughter, Patresa Strawbridge-Allen; and one brother, Ross Gardner.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Strawbridge Jr., Mickey Ridley, Justin Brattan, Shawn Eatmon, Bobby Dale Eatmon, and Rodrick Allen Jr.
