Obituary
Choice Edward "Sonny" Tellis, age 64 of Millport, Alabama died on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi.
A native of Lamar County, he was born January 9, 1950 to the late Leroy and Hazel Shirley Tellis.
In addition to his parents Sonny was preceded in death by his sister, Lenora Tellis Williams.
Survivors include wife Ruth Love Tellis; daughter, KeNeisha Petty and brother Leroy Tellis, Jr., both of Millport; and sister, Linda F Smith of Columbus, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Mt Olive MB Church with Rev. Benny Henry officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2014, in the Dowdle Funeral Home chapel.
