Clyde Lowell Rector, 85, of Tuscaloosa, AL, formerly of Millport, AL, passed away on May 22, 2022 at West Alabama Hospice in Tuscaloosa, AL. Graveside services will be May 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Millport City Cemetery with Bro. Jeremy Burrage officiating under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, Alabama.

Clyde was born on February 4, 1937 to Charlie Rector and Annie Lucas Rector. He was and avid outdoorsman and gardener. Clyde was happiest when surrounded by family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Hudgins Rector, a son, Mitch Rector (Tammy), a sister, Lola Edwards, a brother, Howard Rector, 2 grandchildren, Conor Rector and Chloe Rector Light and 3 great-grandchildren, River Rector, Avett Rector and Lucas Light.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Helen Jones, Lavice Collins, Hoyt Rector and Charlie Rector.
