Cois Delmer Aldridge

Passed away April 16, 2019 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Al.

Services were Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Dowdle Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Aldridge and Bro. Eric Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Dowdle Funeral Home directing.

He was born February 3, 1942 in Lamar County. He was a deacon and member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. He retired in 2007 from Ceco Building Systems, Columbus, Ms. At a young age, he was involved in an auto accident causing sever spinal damage. He was the perfect definition of strength, determination and defying all odds. He still lived a very full and active life. His true joy was spending time hunting and fishing with his son Bryan and watching his grandson, Kyle, play baseball. He never failed to show love and support to all of his family.

He was so blessed to have his wife, Minnie, soulmate and caregiver for 24 years. He was truly the best husband, father, brother, PawPaw, & great PawPaw. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Abe & Ada Morre Aldridge, brothers; Raymond, Roy, James, Elmer and David, sister Christine Lawerence, and step son Ronnie Shaw. Survivors include his loving wife Minnie Oglesby Aldridge, son, Bryan (Stephanie) Aldridge, step daughter, Dottie (Ronnie) Parker, Daughter in Law, Shiere Shaw. Grandchildren, Kyle (Andrea) Aldridge, Reed and Christina Shaw, Tara (Stevie) Oglesby. Great-Grandchildren-Brantlee Aldridge, Christopher, Tyler and Kayleigh Parker. Pallbearers-family members.
