David Weston Sullivan, 64, of Millport, AL, lost his battle with lung cancer May 20, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Long officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the chapel.

David was born October 3, 1960 in Millport, AL to Wesley and Jessie Nell Sullivan. David was a lifelong resident of Millport where he attended school, married and raised his family. David worked for JTB in Columbus, MS for 30 years until he retired. He was an amazing mechanic, loving husband, father, and friend. He loved fishing, hunting and being with family.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 30 years, Darlene Brewer Sullivan; his father, Wesley Sullivan; mother, Jessie Nell Sullivan; and brother, Benny Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Miles Sullivan; sons, Lee (Tara) Sullivan of Millport, AL, Josh (Stephanie) McClellan of Medina, OH, William (Karley) McClellan of Pontotoc, MS and Dustin McClellan of Millport, AL; one daughter, Traci (Curtis) Davis of Millport, AL;  7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; two sisters, Kathy (Doug) Clardy, Helen Sullivan Robinson; one brother, Mark Sullivan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sean Robinson, Chris Reynolds, John Clardy, Al Lewis, Patrick Pennington, and Jason Sullivan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Griffin, Mike McCool, and Bobby Bowles.
