Donna Stripling, 61, of Kennedy, Alabama passed away on August 9, 2021, in Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral Services will be held at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. at 2:00 p.m. on August 12, 2021, with Bro. Jeff Long and Bro. Terry Robinson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Higdon Church of God in Kennedy, Alabama under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home immediately following the funeral.

Donna was born on January 3, 1960, in Union, Mississippi. She was known for her love of beautiful flowers and homemade cooking. Her cooking measurements were always in love.  She loved the Lord and was a member of Higdon Church of God. She was a retired bus driver for Lamar County Schools. Donna once said, "My grandchildren have taught me a kind of love I never knew existed. I would say my dream is to see all my family in church and to know that we will be together in Heaven forever." Family was very important as was her faith in God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Patsy Elinburg, and her sister, Stephanie Elinburg.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Kenny R. Stripling, her daughter, Felisha Stripling, her sons, Kenny A. Stripling (Sabrina) and Greg Stripling (Melissa), sister, Lynn Huguley (Tim), brothers, Willie Elinburg (Lora), Rex Elinburg, Raford Elinburg, and grandchildren, Gary Stripling, Anna Grace Stripling, Morgan Acker, Megan Acker, Brooke Stripling, Julie Stripling, Nick Stripling, and Addison Stripling, and one great grandchild, Holland Elizabeth Acker.

Pallbearers will be Gary Stripling, Morgan Acker, Nick Stripling, Cody Burkhalter, Daniel Burkhalter, and Kevin Moore.
