Cottondale - Dorothy "Dot" Davis, formally of Millport, AL went home to be with her Lord March 29, 2021. Services will be held April 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Donald Payne officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Lamar County.

She was born in Cullman County, Alabama October 31, 1937 to the late Homer and Beulah Mae Newell. She married the love of her life, the late U.L. "Buster" Davis on April 9, 1955. She was a member of Forest Lake Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela (Steve) Charlton of Elberta and her sister, Theresa (Denny Ray) Johnson of Northport.

Pallbearers are Tim Johnson, Danny McKinley, Wesley Newell, Wayne Hildreth, Jimmy Hildreth and Butch Hildreth.

Honorary Pallbearers are William Hill, MD, Greg Hamric, CRNP, staff at Cardiology Consultants, Tuscaloosa, AL., South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, Foley ER & ICU Staff, Forest Lake Baptist Church/Single Again Sunday School Class.
