Dorothy Elizabeth McAteer, 87, passed away on April 29, 2025 in Alabaster, Alabama. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Millport City Cemetery under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Dorothy Elizabeth Biddle McAteer was born February 15, 1938 in Millport, Alabama. She left us on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 to be with Dean Edrow McAteer, Sr and William Thomas McAteer, their son and others who preceded her in death. She was blessed with 5 children: Deborah Jane McAteer Jones, Carol McAteer Dotson, Dean Edrow McAteer, Jr, Melody Rae McAteer, and William Thomas McAteer. She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was involved with family activities and church ministries throughout her life as she had learned from her mother, Onnie Rae Biddle. She was a very gifted artist like her father, William Harvey Biddle. She will be greatly missed. Her absence here is to be present with the Lord.
