Dorothy Sparks, 67, of Millport, AL. passed away on November 29, 2022 at DCH in Tuscaloosa, AL. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Millport, AL. with Rev. Chris Wriley officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Dorothy Lucille Weir Sparks was born on January 1, 1955 to the late Elzie Lee and Essie Nash Weir.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, her loving husband of 40 years; Ricky Sparks, one son(her heart); Frederick Sparks; one devoted sister; Icie Wriley, one niece; Essie(Jeremy) Brock, two nephews; Christopher(Tracey) and Lee Wriley, six great- nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own grandchildren, Icie, Hallie and CJ Wriley, Madysen, Meagan, and Jaden Brock, one aunt; Cornelia Weir Hoggs, a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
