Mrs. Dorothy D. Wright, 84 of Millport, Alabama died on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Fayette Long Term Care in Fayette, Alabama.
Born Sunday, January 15, 1933 in Lamar County, AL.to the late Mr. Andrew Davis and Mrs. Rosell Johnson Davis.
Mrs. Wright retired from South Lamar School where she worked many years in the cafeteria.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Buster Wright,brother, Johnny Davis, Sisters, Mabeline Crowley,Elberta Johnson,Sidney Earl Sullivan.
She was a member of Meadow Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Steve Wright (Dewanda) , brother, Eugene Davis (Betty Sue), sister, Charlene Hollinger; 2 grand children; Amber Wright and Corey Wright (Courtney), 2 great grand children, Bryson and Jaycob Wright. A host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
A Funeral service will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at Dowdle Funeral Home. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Kennedy, AL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Dowdle Funeral Home,.
The family would like to thank the employees of Fayette Long Term Care for their compassion shown toward their loved one.
Pall Bearers will be, Danny Crowley, Mark Prater, John Prater, Freddie Moore, Terry Wilson, Bobby Lavender.
