Douglas Trull, 73, of Kennedy, Alabama, passed away on November 7, 2024 at Northwest Alabama Regional Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, Alabama with Bro. Jeff Long officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery.

Douglas U. Trull was a devoted husband to Martha S. Trull for 52 years and a loving father to Jonathan and Clinton Trull, a proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren. Garrett, Madison, Carson, Cyler, and Ceally. He loved them all and was always willing to take time with them all. He  served in the US Army and was a proud Veteran. He was employed at Omnova Solutions for 28 years before he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman with fishing being his first love. He touched many people through the years of fishing and also made many friends, he also loved to hunt and explore the woods.

He spent a lot of his spare time working with his hands in his shop doing things from making fishing lures and wood working making various things such as long bows, walking sticks an canes. He had a way with making art out of wood that only he had an eye for. He ventured out to the sport of golfing being a member at Oakhill in Sulligent Alabama for 10 years and Fayette Alabama for 2 years. He made many friends in golfing and many known him as "Poo Bag". In his lifetime he inspired to touch many lives and will always be remembered we will miss and love him deary.                   "Saved by the Grace of God"

He was preceded in death by his parents Raybun and Ruth Trull.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Martha Sue Trull, his sons Johnny Trull (Jennifer), Clinton Trull (Marcie), a sister Sandra Kay Sprinkle, And a brother Lloyd Ray Trull.

Pallbearers will be Willie Nethercutt, Brad Williams, Dalton Williams, Grant Williams, Jeremy Long and Korlan Trull
