Earnest "Lesley" Sullivan of Kennedy, AL Passed on July 25, 2019 at the age of 85.Born August 4, 1933 to the late John Sullivan and Eva Sansing Sullivan, he was the husband of the late Sidney Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan spent his entire adult life residing in Lamar County. He worked with Johnson Tombigbee Furniture for 24 years and then retired from Weyerhaeuser here in Millport. Mr. Earnest was a hardworking man who loved the Lord, he was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed serving his church and community when time allowed. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his son, Scott Sullivan (Barbara) of Dunkanville AL., grandson, Jason Sullivan (Tisha) of Kennedy AL. and granddaughter, Haley Leonard (Nicky) of Millport AL., great grandsons Brayden Sullivan and Branson Sullivan, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Eva Sullivan, his wife of 47 years, Sydney Earl Davis Sullivan, sister, Ruth Hughes, brother; Harrison Sullivan, R.B. Sullivan, Johnny Sullivan, and Wesley Sullivan
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, Alabama.
The Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Dowdle Funeral Home.
Officiating will be Bro. Billy Carl Sullivan and Bro. Charles Horton.
Pall Bearers will be Byron Richards, Alford Taylor, Kent Bonner, Larry Rodgers, Lee Sullivan, Charles Swan, and Wayne Barger.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be his Family and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Kennedy City Cemetery
