Lon Edward (Eddy) Wright, 79, of Millport, Alabama, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Millport under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Eddy was born on July 14, 1946 in Fayette, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University and had a successful career in Pharmacy. He owned Joe Golden Drug Store for 40 years and retired at age 67. He was passionate about his work and loved joking around with all his friends and customers.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Wright, a son, Hal Allred (Gina), 3 grandchildren, Gable, Gracie and Gabby Allred, his sisters, Cindy Wright and Meredith McPherson and two brothers, Scott McPherson and Lance Wright.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Robertson, Mark Jordan, Pete Matthews, Mark Weathers, Claude Carter, Gable Allred and Drew Stevens.
