Elaine Swink, 72, of Millport, AL, passed away on April 5, 2022, at her residence in Millport, AL. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Springhill Baptist Church in Millport, Alabama with Bro. Andy Parrish officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Elaine was born on December 7, 1949 in Vernon, AL. to Murry Lee and Rammie (Conn) Hutcherson. She was happily married for 30 years to Bo Swink until his passing in 2004. She spend many years working at United Technology in Columbus, MS., where she retired.

She was a person who loved people. She loved building relationships and filling the room with her laugh. Her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed every minute she spent with them, especially watching Alabama football and Hallmark movies. Nothing compared to the joy in her eyes when the great-grands came to visit. One of her favorite things was teaching her Sunday School class. Elaine loved her church family. She would spend hours studying and preparing for each Sunday. We have no doubt that she is sitting at the feet of Jesus right now.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bo, a sister, Donna Lawrence and a brother, Douglas Hutcherson.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Shonda Browning (Harold) of Millport, AL. brothers Eugene Hutcherson (Derendia) and Danny Hutcherson (Linda) both of Millport, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matt Parson, Holden Miles, Matt Hutcherson, Steve Hutcherson, Russ Cole, Mark Simmons, James Michael Beasley, Tim Browning and Cole Browning.  Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Swink, Brooks Swink, Cody Swink, Mickey McKenzie, and Lee Sullivan.
