Mrs. Elmer Ann Spann, 76, of Vernon Alabama, passed away on Friday November 9 ^th , 2018, at the Fayette Medical Center in Fayette Alabama.

Born March 3 ^rd , 1942 to the late Homer and Beulah Mae Newell, she was the wife of Donald Spann. Mrs. Spann was a long time employee of Chromeolox, a member of Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, a Barber School graduate, and a loving Mother. She loved working in the yard, cooking delicious meals that her entire family came to eat, and keeping the old family recipes in use.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Spann, daughters; Deborah Farooq of Columbus MS, Felicia Carr of Columbus MS, and Margaret Reeves of Sulligent AL, sons, Randy Hudson of Millport AL and Greg Hudson of Tuscaloosa AL, sisters, Dot Davis of Foley AL and Theresa Johnson of Northport AL, 9 grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lovia Hudson, parents, Homer Newell and Beulah Mae Tomlin Newell, son, Daniel Hudson, brothers; Joe Newell, Charles Newell, and Kenneth Burkhalter, sisters, Willete Burkhalter, Lurline Hildreth, and Nell Howard.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday November 13 ^th , 2018 at 2:00 PM at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel of Millport Alabama.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on November 13 ^th , 2018 at the Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery of Millport Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Trimm, Wesley Newell, Chad Maddox, Joey Burkhalter, Wayne Hildreth, and John Shackelford.

Officiating will be James Godsey and Brian Reeves.
