Floyd Joseph Porter, 84 of Kennedy, Alabama died on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Fayette Long Term Care in Fayette, Alabama.

Born Wednesday, March 13, 1935 he was the seventh child born to the late Mr. Pervy Porter and Mrs. Hattie Mae Aldridge Porter. He was retired from Arvin Mfg.

Preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Jean Freeman Porter, his parents, brothers, Clayton Porter, Curtis Porter, Cleon Porter and Junior Porter,one sister Merle Porter Keating.

Surviving are, sisters, Frances Parker, (Charles), and Alice Hudgins (Walter)

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel.

Officiating will be Bro. Terry Robinson and Preacher Danny Renfroe.

Interment will be in Higdon Church Cemetery
