Gene McDaniel
Gene Lamar McDaniel,55 died May 31,2014, at DC Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Services are 11 am Wednesday at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with Russell Dawkins and Ken Dawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Millport City Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home chapel. Mr. McDaniel was born Aug. 8 1958, in Millport, to the late Bibb Lamar and Betty Stepp McDaniel. He was a graduate of Millport High School where he played football for the Millport Jr. Tide. He is survived by one brother, Ray McDaniel of Carrollton, Alabama. Pallbearers are Bill Black, Phillip Black, Ronnie McDaniel, Clarence Miller, Mayo Wharton, Harold Graham, Bruce Shaw and Ray Donald Stokes.
