Geneva Mordecai Morgan 85, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her daughter's home in Pensacola, Florida surrounded by family.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 at 1:30pm at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at the Millport City Cemetery.
Geneva was born September 2, 1932 in Eupora Ms. A lifelong resident of Millport and member of Propst Memorial Methodist Church. She loved being around children, and worked at the Millport City Schools for over 30 years. She was a dedicated wife, taking care of her husband of 55 years, Aubra who was home bound for nine years. She was a selfless mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was treasured by her family and friends for her giving nature and kind, caring heart.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Aubra Morgan; her mother and father, Alvie and Corine Mordecai of Millport; her brothers and sisters and her great granddaughters Aubrey and Ava Hoffman.
Geneva is survived by her four children: Steve (Lynn) Morgan of Birmingham, Deborah Morgan Carney of Mobile, Lynne Morgan (Dennis) Madison of Dothan, and Gail Morgan of Pensacola, FL. She has eight grandchildren; Donna (Byron) Hoffman, Amy (Tim) Townsend, Shae (Todd) Blackmon, Trevor Carney, Morgan (Heather) Madison, Matthew (Stephanie) Madison, Michael (Elizabeth) Madison, and Mark Madison.
She also has 9 great grandchildren whom she loved deeply.
