Gladys Stokes Aldridge, 92, passed away on May 22, 2020 at Poplar Springs Nursing Home in Meridian, MS. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. with Bro. Ray Aldridge officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel with burial following at Higdon Church of God Cemetery in Kennedy, AL. with Dowdle Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Michael Aldridge, Aaron Dickerson, Mike Hildreth, Berry Davis, Collin Davis and Corey Davis.

Mrs. Aldridge was born to Ace Washington and Roberta Fields Stokes on August 16, 1927; one of 22 children. She married Troy Aldridge on June 26, 1948 and was a beloved mother to Terry and Marie. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, a son, Bobby Aldridge and grandson Shane Blanton.

She is survived by her son Terry Aldridge (Marcia), her daughter, Marie Blanton, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
