Obituary
Glinda Elaine Whitten, 65, passed away at her residence on July 6, 2017. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Dowdle Funeral Home at 11:00a.m. Burial will be at the Kennedy City Cemetery with Dowdle Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Whitten, a resident of Kennedy, Alabama, was a devoted and loving teacher for thirty-five years. Ms. Whitten taught at South Lamar High School.
She is survived by her son, Jeremy (Ashley) Whitten; Kennedy AL, and her nephews, David (Karen) and Eric (Bonnie) Frye.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Erma Johnson, and her sister, Caroline Frye.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00a.m. at the funeral home prior to service.
