Mrs. Hazel B. Trull, age 91, of Kennedy, AL, died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL, with Bro. Ed Nabors officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Kennedy, AL.

She was born in Pickens County, AL, on July 6, 1930 to the late Ira and Florence Turner and step-father, the late Cleveland Marlowe. Hazel and her late husband W.L. Trull were married for 49 years and were residents of Kennedy, AL were she remained until she was called home. She worked as a seamstress at the garment plant for many years and after her retirement continued to work in the lunchroom at South Lamar School. Hazel took great pride in growing some of the biggest tomatoes which she successfully sold to many local restaurants. She enjoyed her daily breakfast trips with her son Hokie to various different local restaurants, you never saw one without the other. She enjoyed raising her grandson Shawn and all the teenage boys that made her home their home. She loved to play bingo and could be seen traveling to Columbus to the VFW and American Legion until she was no longer able to go. Alabama football was a favorite of hers. You could always count on her to be watching the games. Hazel had a soft spot for all animals including her beloved peacocks and would take them in and give them a life-long home on the farm. She was a very strong, kind and compassionate southern lady that raised strong southern children and grandchildren. It was a glad reunion in Heaven for her with many who have come and went before her, including her beloved husband "Bug." We are here to celebrate her life and all the wonderful memories.

She survived by her children, Louis (Sandy) Trull, Glenda (Rick) Potash and Hokie (Vanessa) Trull, 12 grandchildren Lisa Trull, Dale (Toni) Trull, Laveeta ( Ronald) Cooley, Michael Barksdale, Shawn (Alice) Trull, Samantha (Thomas) Bellsnyder, Luke Trull, Lake Trull, Danyele Trull, Cole Trull, Jackie Cooley and Ashley Cooley and 7 great grandchildren Jason Barksdale, Hannah Barksdale, Hunter Trull, Brian Cooley, Chloe Thompson, Tommy Bellsnyder and Titan Bellsnyder.

She is proceeded in death by her husband W.L. Trull and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Trull, Luke Trull, Lake Trull, Allen Foster, Jason Foster, Brian Jordan and Brad Richards

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Trull, Hunter Trull, Jason Barksdale, Cole Trull, Michael Barksdale and Kent Moore.
