Obituary
Hortense Johnson, 95, formerly of Millport, Al died on Saturday, April 18, 2015,at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama.
Born Sept. 18, 1919 in Kennedy, Al to the late Mack & Trannie Cooper Gilliam. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Johnson and sons Remus and Benoy Johnson. She attended Kennedy High School and was a member of Meadow Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Westinghouse after many years of service.
Surviving are son, Larry Johnson of Columbus, MS, daughter, Brenda Sims of Jasper, AL; 6 grand children; 8 great grand
children.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Meadow Branch
Cemetery, Kennedy, AL.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Dowdle Funeral Home,
