Irvin Lorenzo Conklan, Sr., 96, passed away on December 23, 2019 at Fayette Long Term Care in Fayette, AL. He was the husband of the late Hazel A. Conklan and a U.S. Navy veteran serving from October 24, 1942 until his honorary discharge on October 28, 1945.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Hazel, a son, Irvin L. Conklan, Jr. and a sister, Deloris Cornelius.

He is survived by 3 sons, Edwin Conklan (Joann), Stephen Conklan (Linda), David Conklan, a sister Alita Baker, a brother, John Conklan, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, Alabama with visitation one hour prior to the service with Bro. Ed Nabors officiating. Interment will be at the Kennedy City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Len Brackin, Allen Stokes, Austin Stokes, Terry Wilson, Ricky Johnson and Daniel Gann.

Honorary pallbearers will be honorary family members Dana Hill, Gary (Tugboat) Hubbert, Johnny Hubbert, and the staff of Fayette Long Term Care.
