Mr. Doug Daffron
James Douglas Daffron, age 86, of Millport, died July 1, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama of Tuscaloosa. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with Nick Cannady officiating. Burial will follow in Millport City Cemetery with Dowdle Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Ross Daffron; and mother, Mary Sue Daffron.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Ruffin Daffron; son, James Michael "Mike" Daffron (Vickie); grandchildren, Luke Daffron (Cassie) and Sunni Daffron; great-grandchildren, Cooper Daffron and Kate Daffron; and brother, Bill Daffron.
Mr. Daffron was a native of Lamar County born, December 30, 1928, to William Ross Daffron and Mary Sue Winters Daffron.
Mr. Daffron worked at Westinghouse, in Reform, all of his life until he retired. He loved spending time with his family. His hobbies were working in the yard, gardening, and most of all; he loved fooling with his rose bushes.
