MILLPORT, Ala.— Jerry Allen "Goose" Bivins, 64, died June 27, 2014, at his residence. Services are 2 p.m. today at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel with Armon McDill officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship FWB Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Mr. Bivins was born in Cooter, Missouri, to the late James and Jo Maxine Pritchard Bivins. He was formerly employed as a truck driver, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Sandra bivins of Millport; daughter, Casey Hastings of Millport; sons, Shannon Bivins of Millport; brother, Joey Bivins of Millport; and 14 grandchildren. Pallbearers are Wayne Cantrell, Morris Cantrell, Drew Stephens, Andrew Latham, Harold Trimm and Jerry McDill.
