Jerry Donald (Big Don) Weathers, 82, passed away on March 10, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL., with Bro. Terrance Cleghorn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Kennedy, AL.

Don was a native of Kennedy Alabama and was a truck driver for many years. He was also a CB radio enthusiast and his handle was "Runaway". In his younger years he loved sports and was inducted into the Lamar County Hall of Fame in 1994 for outstanding achievement in football. He loved people and was a regular customer at the Kennedy Express. He will be missed by family and friends.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna Childress, 3 sons, Jeff Weathers, Rusty Weathers and Greg Weathers, a sister, Janice Ashcraft, a brother, Douglas Weathers, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilton and Pearlie Mae Weathers.

Pallbearers are Dustin Weathers, Cody Weathers, Cole Weathers, Jerrick Keys, Michael Weathers and Ashley Cargile.
