Jessie Jonas Campbell, 79, of Hamilton, MS passed away on April 26, 2023, in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel. A graveside service for immediate family only will follow the service at Higdon Church of God Cemetery in Kennedy, AL.

Jessie worked hard and loved harder. He loved church and to dress up. He loved good food and traveling. If you came anywhere around him, he probably fed you. Everyone in town referred to him as "Papaw Jessie" because he treated everyone like a true grandfather would. He loved his only daughter, Angela, but soon found a deeper love for his grandkids. He was the best grandfather to these three one could wish for.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Velma Campbell; sisters, Floy Logan and Carolean Fields; and brother, Ray Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Campbell; daughter, Angela Wilson (Tim Wilson); brothers, Rayford Campbell, Ernest Campbell, Paul Campbell; grandchildren, Ty Wilson, Cami Wilson, and Rylee Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Justin White, Jaleb White, Mark Tipton, Larry Leonard, Tim Wilson, and Dennis Lollar.
