Jimmie Nell McDill, 86, passed away November 13, 2020 at Generations in Vernon, AL. There will be a graveside service on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Millport, AL with Bro. Chester Shaw officiating. Burial will follow with Dowdle Funeral Home directing.

Jimmie Nell loved to grow and arrange flowers, such a green thumb, loved sewing, painting, reading- she wore out Little House in the Big Woods. She read it many times. She was a sweet, loving mother and grandmother. She was also a wonderful cook. Some of her favorites were biscuits, cornbread, and peach cobbler beyond compare. She was also a member of Andrews Chapel.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, James W. McDill, and her parents. She is survived by her two daughters, Gail (Gary) Garner and Patsy (Kenny) Carroll, her son, Terry (Janet) McDill, as well as her brother Charles (Brenda) Byars. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
