Jimmy Lamar Foxhall, 68, of Millport, Alabama passed away on February 17, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL.  with Bro. Jeff Long and Bro Jeff Harrison officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00- 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Covin, Alabama.

Jimmy was everyone's friend and he never met a stranger. He was a supervisor for Lamar County Commission and he owned his own automotive shop and worked on vehicles for people far and wide for many years. He was an avid "river rat" and loved spending time with his river friends. He had a huge heart and a love for people; always doing things for others. Jimmy was a loving husband to his wife of 35 years, Shelby and they did everything together. He was loved and adored by his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Foxhall, daughters Kathy Hennington, Leigh Ann Barnes and Juanita Gibson, sons, Terrell Stripling (Dawn Michell), Tim Stripling (Michell), sisters Judy McCool, Helen Kane, Mary Foxhall and Betty Courtney Bailey, 13 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Laudis Foxhall, a step-mother, Minnie Gray Foxhall and a daughter, Kerry Foxhall.

Pall bearers will be Alfred Taylor, Jeff Carr, Tommy Graham, William Page, Vaughn Pennington and Gary Beard. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Traywick, Rex Courtney, Josh Knight, Major Burton, Danny Dollar, D.J. Dollar, Gerald Pounders, Jed Hickman, Wayne Courtney, Thomas Courtney, Stacy Bush and Terry Bowles.
