Jimmy D. Sprouse, 70, of Columbus, MS passed away at his residence on June 6, 2020.  A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Sprouse was born in Columbus, MS. to the late William Henry and Nettie Fowler Sprouse. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. He was an insurance agent and a taxidermist for over 40 years and was very involved in his community. He was a family man and was very proud of his Millport roots. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl (Boman) Sprouse, his son, Nathan Sprouse (Emily) of Caledonia, MS., his daughter, Monica Pennington Montgomery, Columbus, MS., a step-son, Matt Jaynes, Caledonia, MS., a step-daughter, Heather Bishop, West Point, MS, a sister-in-law, Betty Sprouse and 4 grandchildren.

He is preceeded in death by his parents and his brother, William (Bill) Sprouse.
