Mrs. Joe Ann (Grammer) Beauchamp, 80 of Aliceville,AL died on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
Born Thursday, July 8, 1937 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late Mr. William Acie Grammer and Nellie Hilda Stephens Grammer.
Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Adison Beauchamp; her parents, Acie and Nellie Grammer; two brothers,William Grammer and Clayton Grammer; and her nephew, Lee White.
She is survived by her son, William Omar Beauchamp (Lynette), daughters, Terrie Daniel, Teresa Covington (Tony), and Nelda Hudgins (Bart).Eight grandchildren, Adrienne Sims, Benjamin Sims, Jodie Hollis (Adam), Joshua Beauchamp (Jessica), Shari Beauchamp, Bruce Hudgins, Billy Hudgins, and Marcus Hudgins. Five great grandchildren, Ainsley Sims, Caylea Hollis, Tyler Hollis,Lucas Hollis and Alaina Beauchamp; one brother Frank Grammer and one sister, Kemp White and family.
Joe Ann Beauchamp was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Sapps Community where she often taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a 1955 graduate of Carrollton High School. A lifelong resident of Pickens County, she was the first female forklift driver for the Westinghouse Manufacturing facility in Reform, AL. She later became a loving, private caregiver for many elderly and terminally ill patients before retiring to care for her most important patient, her beloved husband.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church,Carrolton AL., followed by a private Graveside Service for the family at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church one hour prior to service.
