Obituary
Johnny Joe Patchen, 59 of Kennedy, Alabama died on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Nolan Hospital of Tuscaloosa.
Born Friday, October 14, 1955 in Millport, Alabama to Lou Ellen Parker Patchen and the Late Mike Patchen.
Mr. Patchen was preceded in death by his father, brothers , Jerry and Billy Patchen.
Surviving are his mother, Wife Sonia Patchen, son, Peyton Ellington, daughters, Jennifer Lucas and Felicia Sisson, brother, Bobby Parker; 3 grand children.
Mr. Patchen Retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation where he served as Superintendent of the Division 7 Office.
Pallbearers are Scott Latham, Justin Latham, Rodney Jones, Clinton Trull, Danny Dollar, and Ed Thrasher.
Honorary Pallbearers are Joel Stripling, Randy Latham, Harry Vice, Rex Haney and the current as well as former employees of the State Dept. of Transportation Division 7 office.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Dowdle Funeral Home. Interment will be in Kennedy City Cemetery. Bros. Doug Moore, Jaron Andrews, and Ed Nabors Officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Dowdle Funeral Home.
