Jonathan Milton House (Jonny), 68, of Ethelsville, AL, passed away on May 20, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church in Carrolton, AL, with Rev. Jeremy Brock officiating and Bro. Ronnie Elmore and Bro. Randy Gray assisting. There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hebron Baptist Church cemetery.

Jonny was born on April 25, 1956, in Millport, Alabama to Lester and Betty House. He worked at General Tire for several years. He was a life-long logger and woodsman. He was a bus driver and volunteer football coach at South Lamar for many years. He was a pastor for several churches throughout Alabama and Mississippi. He enjoyed spending his time doing all these things until he became unable to do them.

Jonny is survived by his wife, Melissa Eloise Hancock House; 4 sons, James Lester House (Lisa), Jonathan William House (Kathy), and Nickalous Adam House; 2 sisters; Barbara McManus (Gary) and Anne Blaylock; one brother, Travis Lester House; and 8 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jean Goodman House and Lester Milton House; sister, Neila Moody (Wayne); sister-in-law, Janice House; and brother-in-law, Wayne Moody.

Pallbearers will be Christian House, Cory House, Jacob House, Josh McManus, Matt Newman, Trey House, Chad Hancock, Jared Rivers, and Dakota Rivers.
