Judy Thomas Wilkins, 67, of Kennedy, Alabama, went to be with Jesus on September 13, 2021. There will be a private, family service on Friday, September 17, 2021 with Bro. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow beside her beloved husband at Unity Grove Cemetery in Palmetto. AL. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date for extended family, church family and friends.

Judy was born December 28, 1953 to Berley and Mary (Burkes) Thomas. She was a member of Kennedy Baptist Church where she was an active member of Sunday School, choir, kitchen and decorating committees. She enjoyed crafting and decorating her home in Kennedy, AL., visiting with friends and working in her flowers. Her main focus was her children and grandchildren that she loved with all her heart along with her church family. She was always up for a road trip with her daughter or sisters, accompanying someone to a doctor visit, helping her sister with cake decorating and anyone going to Hobby Lobby. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Berley and Mary Thomas, her grandparents, Dean and Ruby Burkes her husband Wayne and an infant baby brother. She is survived by her son, Jeremy Wilkins (Shannon), her daughter, Jenna Gillespie (Zane), brothers Roy Thomas (Margaret) and Jimmy Thomas (Janet), sisters Becky Aldridge (Brent) and Cristy Holley (Troy), grandchildren Julianna and Jakoda Wilkins, Savanna, Elijah and Ethan Stripling, James, Lee and Cody Howard, great-grandchildren Will, Wesley and Ray-Leigh Howard and Gunner Dawson and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Nathan Gartman, Daniel Harkins, Brad Thomas, David Thomas, Josh Thomas and Brett Aldridge. Honorary pallbearers are members of Kennedy Baptist Church, Mrs. Brenda Savage, Mrs. Shirley Sutton, Mrs. Linda McPeek, special friends on Facebook and friends and neighbors of Kennedy Housing Authority.
