Kenneth I. Evans, 81, of Millport, Alabama, passed away at Generations of Vernon on June 13, 2022. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, June 15, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Dowdle Funeral Home with Bro. James Pugh and Bro. Billy Carl Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Berry, AL. under the direction of Dowdle Funeral Home.

Kenneth loved hunting, fishing, Alabama football, baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed time spent with family. His greatest title was "Pop" to his grandsons and great-grands and a host of nieces and nephews. He was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by a son, Timothy Evans (Staci), a daughter, Traci Holliman (Dale), brothers Keith and Karl Evans, 4 grandchildren, Tyler Holliman (Tina), Zach Holliman (Macy), Ross Evans (Amy) and Bailey Evans, 5 great-grandchildren, Sadie, Chandler and Paxton Holliman, Mary Grace and Kenneth River Evans.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Mertice Lou Stokes Evans, a son, Gregory Dale Evans and a sister, Laura Gayle Evans Cooper.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Holliman, Zack Holliman, Ross Evans, Bailey Evans, Stanley Rushing and Chuck Crowe. Honorary pallbearers are Zane Shackelford, Alfred Taylor, Earl Shaw, Members of Big M Hunting Club and Amedisys.
