Mr. Lavert Stokes, 92 of Reform, Alabama died on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Born Monday, October 18, 1926 in Millport, Alabama to the late Mr. William F. Stokes and Mrs Dora Woolbright Stokes. Mr. Stokes retired from Huyck Felt Company where is was plant mechanic. Mr. Stokes was married to Mrs. Sarah Alice Stokes for almost 70 years before her passing. He also loved farming. Mr. Stokes was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and he will truly be missed.
Preceded in death by his parents Mr. William F. and Dora Stokes, wife, Sarah Alice Stokes, daughter, Judy Lang, sisters, Lavoy Smith and Imogene Stokes.

He was a member of Arbor Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Rick Stokes(Jessica), John Stokes (Cheryl) daughters, Donna Holsonback (Jimmy Joe), Martha Stokes and Brenda Walters, brother, Waymon Stokes; 14 grand children; 19 great grand children.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Arbor Springs Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Arbor Springs Baptist Church,

Interment will be in Arbor Springs Cemetery.

Officiating will be Jeff Long and Larry Shelton.

Pallbearers will be Mark Prater, George Prater, Will Pitts, Chris Crowe, Jay Holsonback, Dexter Black.
