Lee C. Eatmon's Obituary
Mr. Lee C. Eatmon, 89 of Millport, AL died Thursday December 14, 2017 at his home in Millport, AL.
Born August 25th, 1928, to the late Jessie Lee Mitchel and Daisey Eatmon, he was the husband of the late Vernie Mae Eatmon. Mr. Eatmon worked in Airline MFC for 28 years and after 20 years at Weyerhaeuser he retired.
He was a Deacon at Holly Grove Baptist Church and was a Master Mason at Lodge 185. Mr. Eatmon's calling in life was trying to help someone along the way.
Mr. Lee Eatmon was preceded in death by his Wife of 51 years, Vernie Mae Eatmon, Parents, Jessie Mitchell and Daisey Eatmon, and his Son, Lee C. Eatmon Jr. and is Brother, Milton Mitchell.
He is survived by his Daughters; Virginia A. Hood, Daisy M. Stewart, and Josephine Eatmon, Sons, Willie C. Eatmon and Vincent Eatmon, Sisters; Jessie Mae Anderson, Mildred Howard, and Jewel Conner, 20 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, and 9 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday December 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm from Holly Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Richard L. Hood, Sr. & Rev. Kelvin Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Grove Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state from 11:00 - 1:00 at the church.
