Obituary

Leila Mae Hudgins, of Aliceville, Alabama passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Pickens County Medical Center in Carrollton, AL.
She was born on March 7, 1940 to parents Joe Frank Stewart, Sr. and Sarah Clemmie (Fason) Stewart. She was the wife of the late William Hardy (Bill) Hudgins. Mrs. Hudgins  was a life long resident of Pickens County. She was a retired school teacher from Aliceville Middle School and Aliceville High School, having taught math, science and computer technology for 38 years. She also taught classes at Bevil State Community College. She was a member of Aliceville 1st United Methodist Church. She loved flowers and she bred and trained Collie dogs.
She is survived by son Bart Hudgins (Nelda), of Aliceville, AL, a brother, John Samuel Stewart (Laura), 4 grandchildren, Bruce Hudgins, Billy Hudgins, Shari Beauchamp, Marcus Hudgins and 1 great grandchild, William Hudgins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Frank Stewart, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Aliceville 1st United Methodist Church in Aliceville, Alabama.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with Bro. Tim Alexander officiating.

Interment will be in Franconia Cemetery, Aliceville, AL.
