Linda Griffin, age 72 passed away May 14, 2020 at Generations in Vernon, Alabama. She was born August 6, 1947 to the late Ollie Clinton Morton and Etma Clyte Freeman Morton. She was a member of Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Dowdle Funeral Home in Millport, AL. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in the chapel with burial at Meadow Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Karl Williams, Charles Williams, Lloyd Ott, Richard Norris, James Canterbury and Todd Reeves.

Mrs. Griffin was preceeded in death by her parents, a sister Eva Euline Morton and brothers Kelly Morton, Wayne Morton and Glover Morton.

She was a homemaker, she loved Alabama football and also loved her family and helping others. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Sammie Norris Griffin of Vernon, a son, Jeffery Norris Griffin of Vernon and a daughter, Linda Carol Griffin of Vernon, and  a sister, Marguerite Ott of Hamilton ,Ms.
