Linda Mitchell Kuhn, 71, of Millport Al. passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at her home in Millport Al. Mrs. Kuhn was born at home in Brent, AL. on April 1, 1946 to the late Mr.Clyde Mitchell and Jesse Bushy Mitchell.  She attended Birmingham Baptist school of nursing where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She worked a the VA hospital in Birmingham,AL as an industrial nurse at U.S. Steel, did private duty nursing worked at People's hospital and Walker Regional in labor and delivery, and was an assistant Director of Nursing at Lamar Convalescent Center (now Generations) of Vernon AL. She was a devoted mother and wife and took several years off of work to raise her children.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years Jimmy Hagood. Also preceded in death by her husband Robert Kuhn, her mother Jesse Mitchell, and her father Clyde Mitchell.

Linda was a faithful Christian and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Sulligent, AL. She loved to tell others about Christ and was always ready to be a witness for him.

She is survived by her four daughters; Melissa (Jimmy) May, of Millport, AL, Sherry (Rex) Treece of Oklahoma, Belinda (Mike) Yarbrough of Carrollton, AL, and Rita (Chris) Boane of Paris Tn., She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several step-children and grandchildren whom she loved. Linda prayed to see her first grandchild born and was fortunate enough to see nine born and two graduate high school.

She is also survived by a brother Marshall Mitchell of Austin, Texas.

Any memorials should be sent in honor of Linda Kuhn to the Gideon's to further the word of God.

Services will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00am at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Visitation will be November 3, 2017 at Dowdle Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
