On Thursday, February 17, 2022, Linda Joyce Cargile Weathers of Millport, Alabama, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior.  Linda was born December 26, 1941, in Belk, Alabama. Born and raised in the Lamar County area, Linda graduated from Kennedy High School. After she graduated, Linda left for a while to raise her family. She eventually returned home to spend the rest of her days, in the house her father built, with her mama.

Linda grew up loving and working in the garden and yard. She also loved to fish. But most especially Linda loved to spend time reading her Bible and attending church regularly. She was a long time member of Kingsville Church of Christ, and she loved to share her love of Christ with family and friends.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She recently met her newest great grand baby, Lily. She prayed heartily for her four children, eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grand baby, and extended family and friends.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Freddie Lee and Lois Bea (Johnson) Cargile, and her brother, Billy Wayne Cargile . She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Donna Childers; sons, Jeff Weathers (Jerrie), Rusty Weathers, and Greg Weathers (Dawn); grandchildren, Kyle, Amber, Cody, Cole, Caleb, Dustin, and Alexis Weathers, Marie Willis, and Jerrick Keys. She also leaves behind 13 great grandchildren,  one great, great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services for Linda will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Dowdle Funeral Home, Millport, Alabama. The service will be officiated by Bro. Danny Butler. The family will receive family and friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM and will remain at Dowdle's after the service for a while to meet with friends. Interment will take place at Christian Chapel, Millport.
