Lynn G. Shelton, A long-time Kennedy resident passed away at the age of 78 on Wednesday August 21, 2019. Born on March 12, 1941, Lynn came into this world with a mission to love life. He retired from Weyerhaeuser in 2002. Through the years, he perfected his hobbies, which included fishing, hunting, gardening, worm raising, coffee drinking, grass cutting, story telling, chair driving (napping), and most importantly - pranking. He was a fan of all sports. His favorite teams included The Alabama Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves. Every Sunday, you could find "the race" on his tv.

Lynn was most proud of his wife, Margaret, of 54 years. They raised 4 beautiful girls, together. They both shared their passion and love, and fulfilled their promise to live "until till death do us apart."

On the morning of Friday, August 16, 2019, Lynn devoted his life to the Lord, and became Saved. He now walks beside our Lord in Heaven.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife Margaret, his 4 children, Sherry Conde (Noli), Anita Kay Aldridge (Ray), Lethia Gail Johnson (Mike) and Annette Weathers (Jonathan), his 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

The family extends great gratitude to the community and Town of Kennedy, Alabama for its constant love, prayers, support and presence.
